Volleytots is a program run by Leon High Volleyball Head Coach, Dr. Angie Strickland and her staff. Volleytots is a program for kids in middle school or elementary school that have not played volleyball before or need a refresher on their skills. Volleytots breaks down the fundamentals of passing, setting, attacking, digging, serving and receiving a serve. Footwork is also introduced in how to move to a ball, location of the ball when setting, footwork to attack a ball, and transferring of body weight when serving. Each class has a ratio of 8:1 or less. It is a great way to introduce kids to the sport of volleyball.
Program runs every September, December and May . Training sessions once per week for the entire month. Cost is $75. These sessions focus on the fundamental skills of volleyball and how to play the game.
